    Wrappings improvement

My paper jackets are getting better, I've picked up again after a hiatus of a few years of greased slugs (that aren't working). .449" slick sided 525gr upper is patched out to .451/.452 to bore ride, the lower is .460/.459 and stuffed into the case. Over 110gr of Goex Fg and a healthy grease cookie made of two .028 milk carton wads and .5ml or lube betwixt, all wrapped up in a controversial 45/3-1/4" Armi Sport 1874 Sharps copy.

is your rifle's bore slugged to be .452" ? does that bore ride PPB slide into and out of the chamber easily?

At the muzzle it's tight at 452, the chamber end is 454 at the top of lands. Slides into the chamber very easily to the base of the bullet as wrapped. It drops into the muzzle about 1/2 the length of the bullet when wrapped in the onion skin paper and it stops flush in the noisy end when dropped nose first

ah, that would account for the oversize bore.

as long as the PPB cartridge chambers easily and is close to the bore size, you should be good to go for starters.
