    158 lead coated

How fast can you push lead coated bullets in a 357 g-P 100. Can they be used at jacketed velocities?

coated as in powder coated? I shoot powder coated non gas check designs in my 44 mag rifle at speeds up to 1700 regularly just fine, bore and recovered bullets look fine. just make sure your sizing the right diameter for the gun and your fine

I push my 160 PC boolits in excess of 1900 fps using my 357 Maxi. No leading or problems.

I am assuming you are referring to powdercoating. I run my 158gr 357 magnum loads as fast or faster than jacketed. All my revolvers, the coonan classic, and my Ruger 77/357 have no issues. I size to .358 after powdercoating. Hope this helps.

I agree with previous posters. I shoot plain base powder coated bullets to nearly 2k velocity and zero bore fouling from the bullet or coating.

I doubt you could push a 357 mag bullet past what properly applied powder coat could withstand
