    SCAR 17 and Cast Bullets

For cheap plinking rounds Ive been using NOE slick sided 170gn Plain Base WW alloy powder coated and sized 309 over 35gn 2.60 OAL Varget Lee Factory Crimp Die. These loads have decent accuracy and cycle the action without issues.Click image for larger version.

If memory serves I was shooting 2.5 - 3" at 100rds. I only loaded these until they would reliably cycle in the SCAR. Perhaps they would perform better after fine tuning.

What is the twist rate of a SCAR? 1/10 or 1/12? I have a TC compass that shoots the Lee 150 Fn over 35 grn of Varget and it shoots a 1hole group at 100 at 2350fps. But it has a 1/12 twist

If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Thanks first time I've seen one . looks like a mix of a few different rifle types from appearance. Is it DI gas action like a AR10 or piston
