Rossi Barrels

On their break open guns, anyone know what fits what? I've had a Rossi single 20 gauge for years as a gun to keep behind the barn door. Yesterday, was at agun show, and bought a .22 LR barrel for one a guy had because it was cheap enough it was worth chancing it would fit my 20 gauge, turns out it doesn't.

It's a good barrel and has a Weaver scope base on it so scoping it would be no problem, I kind of hate that it didn't work out as I am unlikely to buy another gun to fit it but might is a goo deal came along.

Why not just try it on the gun and you'll have the answer?

Nephew had one with a switch bbl 410/22 lr. That may be what you have.

It could be meant for a 410 frame. I think the Rossi break open had two different size frames.

Like I said in the original post, I tried it on the gun and it didn't fit.

This really looks too big to fit on the .410. The little snake charmer .410 I have is I believe the same gun though it says Taurus on it. The action on that one is tiny, but I'll check it.

I measured the .22 barrel of our Matched Pair(Rossi)- hope this helps. It's a very good gun.

A vernier caliper! I haven't seen one of those in years. I'm guessing a lot of youngsters would have no clue how to read one. LOL!
