Tell me more about this Miller and DeHawes single shot. Always interested in other 4570s.

Congrats! I hope to fill my last doe tag with a 1973 Springfield trapdoor, made in 1884. It is dead on between 100-150 yds with a 350 gr HP, Lyman/Gould mold. Our gun season is in 2 weeks from this weekend. Even though I killed big buck, he only had one horn, and like you, I am about the meat. The wife and I depend on it every year.

Great story and as I have said "I love happy endings". You really have one here. You are an inspiration to us both young and old. You are 75 years old and are out building deer stands, climbing, shooting, gutting, skinning, dragging, butchering, hand-loading, and the list goes on and on. I say keep on keeping on.
Mark 5:34 And He said to her (Jesus speaking), "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction."
