    Br-2?

Jeff Bartlett has BR-2 and I am wondering if anyone is using it in military surplus rifles like 03s and Krags with cast bullets.

    Thanks in advance.

My guess is OP is not referring to Bromide (has chemical moniker BR-2), but instead CCI's Bench Rest Primers. I load/shoot .30-'06 in 1903, 1903A3, 1917, .30 US Carbine, and US Army 30 (.30-40 Krag) and use nothing except CCI "military" primers - the CCI#34 and CCI#41. With the strikers, and regular denting of primer as functioning of the firearms, compounded with my TRUE fear of a slam-fire -- I use no other primers.
All primers are sized to SAAMI specs, so the size of any/all is similar. But, the thickness, as well as hardness of the cup metal -- with the Brisance of each's anvil -- varying from brand and type to type, the SAFE functioning of the BR-2's is indeed a good question. However, call me "chicken" -- but, again, I only use military primers as mentioned.
Wish I could provide a concrete answer to your query.

BR-2 Just received. Brand new, current production, manufactured by Lovex, in Czechoslovakia.
This is a double-based ball type powder, ideal for many pistol calibers.. Meters very
Spell check doesn't work in Chrome, so if something is spelled wrong, it's just a typo that I missed.
