What is the last gun you sold and why?

Maybe this thread already exists, but I haven’t seen it recently. I hope this doesn’t cause any problems. If so, will the moderator please take it down.

Anyway what was the last gun you sold and why?

For me it was a Remington 700 in 30.06. It was in near mint condition, because I rarely used it. I needed the money and since I didn’t use a lot, it had to go. Of course I should have gotten more, but when you need quick cash, that’s the way it goes.

Sig Sauer P220. I had carried it on duty before my department went to Glocks. I retired, didn't carry it or shoot it much so sold it to my nephew who wanted it.

A .444 Marlin lever action. Just didn't use it anymore, and the buyer had a compelling argument as to why I should sell it to him, that being a wallet full of dead presidents. Micro-groove barrel, excellent accuracy with j-words, and pretty fair with cast boolits. Last deer I shot with it looked like it had been hit broadside with a bazooka. That was OK as I find venison ribs too thin on meat to bother with.

Rem 742c 30/06, against my better judgement I took it on trade and allowed to much on it. I've drug that piece of junk for over 2 years and finally sold for break even $350. I will never take another 742/760 series rifle on trade unless it's thrown in as a sweetener on a Hi Point.

Henry Big Boy in 44 Magnum/44 Special. Just too heavy for easy toting in the woods at 8 1/2 pounds; like carrying an MI Garand. Traded even for a new in the box Rossi R92 in 44 Magnum. At 5 pounds it totes easier.

I have 20 guns at an auction place right now. Auction is on Oct.19, guns are a misc. mix from
pinfire revolver to Colt MkIV in 40 S&W. Why? Getting old, just didn't shoot them much and gun safe is overflowing.

Browning Buckmark carbine. The one that looks like a Buckmark pistol made into a rifle.

It was sort of a novelty to shoot a little, then I traded it off for a .45Colt/.410 shotshell O/U derringer.

Ruger Super Bearcat. No matter what ammo I shot, tried over 10 different ones, I could not get consistent groups. It was just not the right fit for me. Used the money for a 870 turkey gun set up that has proven to be very effective.

Browning High Power, .40 caliber with a conversion barrel. Nice pistol, but I never shot it, and as I get older I don’t want to leave my wife with a bunch of guns to deal with when I’m gone. The few that I have left after the boating accident, that is.

    2 Sigs: a p229 DAK & a p227 DA/SA. I didn't like the trigger of the former, I traded the latter for a BP Ten II.

Beretta Tomcat .32 ACP with cracked frame.

Sold on GunBroker for parts only as non-shooter, got $150 which I put towards a Ruger LCP .380 to replace it as the Church Gun.

My CMP Garand. Needed the space in the safe for a Sharps, and I only used it once a year at our annual D Day match. Got it in the 80's for $135 from CMP, sold it for $900 to someone who had to have it.

Last year I traded a Glock 43 for a T/C Contender in 7mm-TCU with scope, dies, extra grips and 3 extra barrels. I sold the barrels and came out well on top.

Mini-14 that I had only owned for a month and put maybe 100 rounds through. Needed cash for a Colt H-Bar a friend was selling. Still own that Colt and consider it one of those guns you will only get from my cold dead fingers.

Sold a bubba'd 03A3 I spent many hours trying to get it to say anything to me at all ........ nothing it just wouldn't talk to me . I did ok , doubled my money on it in 10 short yr . Of course when I bought it I only paid what barreled actions were going for so doubling was still under market by 100+ .
