Me too-- W231/HP-38 works just fine in 9mm, although I mostly use titegroup in my 9mm

Pretty much all I use in my 9 mm and 9 mm Makarov (9x18) is win231/HP-38 (it’s the exact same Powder just different labels) or unique. Unique can be a pain to meter so I do prefer win231/hp-38. I like the fact that win 231 has been around since 60’s and unique is one of the oldest smokeless powders. I’m not one to jump on the latest new products bandwagon, in anything. I know if I have a pound of win 231 or unique ( or rounds loaded with either of those powders) sitting on a shelf for 20 years they will do what they are supposed to do. As long as they are stored properly. I can’t say the same about some of the newer powders. Titegroup is a great powder I’ve used it plenty of times but I became concerned when I left some titegroup in my uniflow powde measure for a couple days and it clouded/ etched the plastic powder hopper. Oh and you don’t want to leave a plastic dipper in a jug of titegroup either.
Just my way of thinking for what it’s worth

Work OK. Does not have the zip it used to have. Almost like they made it slower. It is very dirty burning. Not as bad as unique but you will notice the extra crud when cleaning.

My stock of HP-38/W231 is over 10 years old. I use it in my 9mm loads with a 122 gr bullet with very good results. I use Clays as well.

Very versatile powder. Don't use it in 9mm but it is my go to in .45 acp.

Give er a go. It might be the best for your setup.

My long time go to was PB, but that is history. Bullseye is good too. My current favorite is Titegroup, but I don’t recommend it if you are are just getting started as min to Max is a narrow window.

Win 231/HP-38 has been my standard 9mm for 124/125 gr cast bullets for many years. It just works well.
