    41 special

    playing with the idea of reloading 41 special. called dillon to see if i could use their 41 magnum dies and (as i've read here somewhere) the answer is no
    so... what press/dies/alterations do you guys use to load the 41 special?

    I've been using 41 mag dies for quite a while. Other than crimping I have just used a second hand set of Redding dies that I bought from eBay.

    The difference in length should be the only issue. I don't know just how much shorter the 41 special is than the 41 magnum. The 38 spec to 357 mag is about .145. The 44 special to 44 mag is about .125.
    If you know the difference just cut that much off you 41 Mag dies.
