    WTS: COWW Ingots

    SOLD OUT!

    This is material from old COWW. The wheelweights have been sitting inside for over 20 years, so no chance of any zinc. Thoroughly fluxed and cleaned, this is pretty prime stuff. Ingots are from angle iron molds, in two sizes, both of which fit the common casting pots. This is also prime feedstock for those who make their own shot.

    Minimum 50# plus whatever last ingot in the box brings the weight to above 50#. Well packed, I have never had a box broken open in shipping. I have ten boxes in this offer. I will be smelting tomorrow and will be able to start shipping on Wednesday, 10/2.

    UPDATE:

    I'm going to be delayed with shipping, plan was to smelt yesterday, box today, ship tomorrow. Unfortunately I didn't allow for the affects of smelting 700#+ on my body. I got it all cleaned up but today I am having trouble straightening up and walking with a list to starboard. So I'm resting today and hoping for getting back at it tomorrow.

    If anyone wants I will refund your payment.

    Yeah, I've processed scrap into ingots in similar amounts over a day, and, like you, Alan in Vermont, I was basically non functional the next day. Satisfied with the results of a good day's work, but non functional. Hats off to you.

    I started on this project last Monday and got most of that batch cleaned up and ingotized, 5-600# that time, then brought the last of it home Thursday and smelted the the remainder of the Monday load along with the last load. I weighed everything when I quit each day. Final tally 1,250#. That is the most I ever done in a fairly short time frame.
