Hello everyone.
I spent the weekend doing some long range with the old Argentine mauser 1909.
My eyes are not what they were when I was 20, so to shoot, I put a side mount of accumount and a nikon monarch 4-16x
Shooting up to 600 meters there were no problems. But when I wanted to do it at 900 I discovered that the scope had been "short" to continue correcting.
So I started looking.
Big mess.
I would like to leave the original appearance of the rifle. But an old zeiss or khales are not the best option to make this type of shooting. Moreover, I have an old wheatherby made by Hertel und Reuss, which even corrects parallax, but does not have a turret with clicks, and is locked in 3x. Take it to repair but it has no fix.
Then I started looking for something modern, in 1 inch, and there I found the small SWFA.
https://www.swfa.com/swfa-ss-2-5-10x....html?___SID=U
The only disadvantage I find is that it has fixed parallax at 100 meters.
Has anyone had the opportunity to use it?
Any ideas to replace my scope?
Thank you
