Norinco firearms are usually clones of other sucessful designs. Magazine may be interchangable.

This is supposedly based on the Anshutz 54.

Other than lucking out on ebay your best chance is to carry the rifle into a gun show and hope a used magazine vendor has a table. You might find something to work with. I have never lost a magazine because I only remove them to load or unload them. Storing them separate is foolish IMO.

What do you do if you have 3 mags?

I have lots of mags as well. They all go into a plastic bin and all I need to do is stir them up and find the right one. Don't take "stir" in the literal sense.

Looked at Anshutz mag and it was more than the poly tech mag. I went ahead and ordered one from poly tech and only whined a little while. Thanks for the help guys. Now I have one in the safe and one in the gun

I don't remember Anschutz mags fitting the NS522. If they do work, there's a Savage mag for the Savage/Anschutz rifles that has a metal floorplate that required a little file voodoo (very little) as a substitute for the real deal. They were like a third to half the price.

I guess I was talking about the rifles that I only have one magazine for......(Remington 581; Tikka T3)- AR's, M1 carbine, 1911 mags are all plentious here but the gun ALWAYS has it's mag in it. Just saying.
