Congratulations, and good on you, and your son! I have one at Great Lakes right now....on his way to being a proud sailor!

Tell the new Marine good job. My son-in-law's little brother graduated there Friday as well. My daughter and her husband and in-laws were all there. I imagine my daughter was kind of a know-it-all about the ceremony,LOL she saw her brother graduate there in 2003.

Watching a son or daughter march out to graduate is a moment to remember. It's been 23 years since I watched my son become a man there, something I'll never forget. Congratulations to your son and you. You can be forever proud to say that you're the father of a United States Marine.

Congratulations, I wasn't one of Uncle Sams Misguided Children but I too raised one. Proudest moment of my life. Worst time of my life was the time he was deployed to buttcrackistan, but he did his duty and I respect that, he volunteered, which is what Marines do. He made the decision to become a Marine at the age of 11 on September 9, 2011. He is out of the Military now but his job takes him to that part of the world regularly, in fact he is in Qatar right now for a few weeks, still worries me.
