Ruger American 300 Blackout AR mag verses flush mag model

OK I had one of the original Ruger Americans in 300 blackout with the flush mag
loved the gun with any bullet under 180 grn. As we went up in weight the more feeding issues I have
It would shoot the NOE 247 gr lights out but nearly every other rd would jam.

I am wondering if anyone here has the detachable mag version and is shooting 200 gr plus bullets and do you have feeding issues
Thanks for any and all responses

Theres a fine line between genius and crazy .. I'm that line
and depending on the day I might just step over that line !!!

You can buy a magwell from Ruger to accept AR mags

But yes I have the mag fed model and I shoot the NOE 311299 at about 1400fps and it feeds like corn through a goose

Got one with ar mags about a month ago, round nose feeds Best, much of a flat point on bullet it wants to jamb. Longer oal seems to make it worse. Tried 311299 and pc made nose to fat to fit.
Jacketed with a point feed good 230 grains, but that’s gets expensive

Howa has a 300 bolt gun also that I wonder about. But found no feedback about it.

I have the American Ranch rifle bolt action. I have had no issues with the rifle feeding anything I have put thru it. You might try a new mag?

On mine I bought about 20 HEX brand mags and filed the ribs down with a simple bastard file, and they work flawlessly
