    AR 15 uppers.

    I have a couple of uppers that I don't need/have duplicates of.
    First is a 25-45. It has a Black Hole Weaponry heavy profile barrel that is 18 inches long, black nitride coated. Gas block is .750, mid length gas. Upper is a slick side, no dust cover or forward assist. Bird cage flash hider. Has a 15 inch ultra slim free float handguard. Price is $175 shipped, without bcg or charge handle. $250 with bcg and charge handle. This one is new, I have never fired it. I put 2 together, and like the other one better. It's stainless and lighter profile. Sold! Payment received, ships tomorrow.
    Second one is a Wildcat. It is the 30 American, or 30x42. Use 6.8 SPC brass and size it in 30 Herrett dies. Barrel is a Black Hole Weaponry as well, 16 inch nitride, mid length gas, 15 inch M-lok free float handguard. Heavy profile as well. Upper has dust cover and FA. BCG and charge handle included. Never fired, I built 2 and like the stainless better. This one is $325 shipped. Pictures available, I am too old and slow to figure out how to post them here.

    What is the OAL length of the cases in this barrel chambered in 30 American?

    Can you use the 30 Herrett AR shorter case length dimensions of 1.580 vs 1.615 of the 30 American?

    I had had a yearning for an AR Performance barrel and wondered if this would scratch that itch. So many iterations of this cat, it is hard to know the differences.

    I had to trim the cases to 1.625 in the 30 American to get them to chamber. That leaves a long neck, so the shorter length should work. Like all wildcats, there is a lot of check and fit. The one I have shot liked 130 gr. Hornady spire points.

    To us old guys, the .30 American was a bench rest cartridge( 30-30 Federal small primer pocket brass headstamped. 30 American)
