I have a RCBS RS@2 that was purchased new in the mid 1980's, just went upstairs to the reloading room with a magnet and it is not attracted to the press, the magnet jumps to the die I have mounted in the press though.
BTW, I have loaded many tens of thousands of rounds on this press and it is still as tight as the day I brought it home.
The RS5 is aluminum. If there's a steel bushing for the die on the RS2, I'd say the frame is aluminum.
You know there is nothing wrong with an aluminum press. After all, they make airplanes out of it now too. I've heard the cast iron airplanes didn't fly real good.
No, there's nothing wrong with an aluminum press... just wanted to know.
I've heard very good things about them. Thanks for the info.
