RWS 460 magnum vs Diana 460 magnum

    Greetings
Is the RWS 460 magnum air rifle identical to the Diana 460 magnum air rifle. Midway sells the RWS brand at $563.00 and Pyaramid sells the Diana brand at $400.00. Do a internet search for RWS and Diana/RWS byline comes up. Same specs too. From that, I suppose that they come out of the same plant/same assembly line.
Does anyone have any definitive info?

They are the same. There was a few reasons I didn't go with it. First the "magnum". All the magnums I have shot have been tough to shoot. The recoil and vibrate like crazy. The vibration tares up scopes, and affects accuracy. I watched some video's on the TX200 and rebuilding them. The TX200 is super easy to rebuild. I have not talked to anyone that has rebuilt a 460 so I don't know how hard they are to do.
That said I have heard some very good things about them and it is at the TOP of my list for a next gun.
I got the TX200 and I am super happy with mine, but the 460 is on my radar.

RWS sell the Diana line in the USA.... The rifles are identical.... However, you may be able to buy them in different trim levels (eg. stocks)…. I purchased a Diana 34 "Sport" which had a beech stock instead of walnut....

RWS is the importer, Diana is the manufacturer. I have a model 54 Air King, it will shoot ragged one hole groups out to 35 yards.

I grew up on a Diana. My Dad received it as a 6th birthday present. It was a smooth bore and barrel required straightening from time to time. I didn't know the name still lives on. I wish we had kept it as a momento.
