    Thick BLL

Several years ago i mixed up and used some BLL ( Johnsons liquid wax and Lee Alox) to coat some cast boolits. Worked well. been using some HiTek and PC'd since. I have some BLL in a container but it has thickened/ hardened. Is there a way to make it usable again? Thanks.

    Mineral spirits will dilute BLL.
When it is the proper consistency , BLL will flow like a Coke out of a bottle.

By the way, if you keep BLL in a glass jelly jar with a tight seal lid, it won't thicken. Preferably keep the jar about 95% full of BLL. I have some BLL in a glass jar with a tight sealing lid that is over 2 yrs. old and has not thickened at all.

Ben's right on the glass Jar. I use a well washed Ragu Jar and lid. Refil into the original Lee alox container as needed. And I drop a .452 caliber bullet in to aid in mixing.

I prefer them as they are easier to count drops out of. 2-3 light coats gives you a very consistant coverage. Which I have found helps with accuracy.

I keep mine in a clear plastic ketchup dispenser too, with a bullet for shaking it up. I just add some mineral spirits anytime it thickens, as Ben said.
    Thanks again Ben, for BLL!!!!
