    .32 S&W Fans

    Ideal #1 tool in 32 S&W from Handbook #1, about 1892 (reprint)
It cost a whopping $2.75. Which sounds like nothing today, but when wages just might be as high as a dollar a day, it was big money.

I have one of those in 32-20. Those old tools must have been worth their weight in gold to range riders and sheriffs and such back in the day.

    That's some cool history.

I wonder if that $2.75 price was the actual retail cost for that tool or just what the manufacturer listed it for?

Manufacture's listed retail price. What you would have to pay if ordered by mail, which a lot of people did, for it.

You even have the loose pieces. The decapping part and the powder dipper. From what I've seen and read about those old tools they got lost somewhere along the trail from then till now.
