    Powder Valley and GOEX sale

Spend $149 on Goex Black Powder and get
    FREE Hazmat

Figured it might be of interest to folks. Takes a bit to hit $149. About 9 lbs. but if you have a friend, a cannon, or a friend with a cannon.... 9 pound purchase isn't that hard to come up with to save the Hazmat fee.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

That would be a good couple of days shooting shotgun. Not to hard to burn through that much shooting skeet

Just ordered this morning. Figured by the time I got around to making BP it was easier to order and now I have powder to compare to.

I ordered a case from Graf's last week, I think it was $409 delivered.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

I'm just starting to try BP instead of the substitutes. Already have some substitute on hand, bought some GOEX with a smokeless order awhile ago to give it a try. I need to get a better feel for how much I'll use before I stock up. A .58 zouave rifle does use a decent amount but doesn't get fired enough to warrant 9 pound purchase.

Skeet and BP I would think you would be on a first name basis with the FedEx guy.

A pound of powder is 7000 grains.
If you shoot a 70 grain load, then you get 100 rounds per pound.
I shoot between 30 and 40 rounds at the range every time I go out.
But to others, that is a lot of shooting in one day.
Divide your needs out and see where you are.
9 pounds really isn't that much powder over a year.
But weigh in the cost, the cost savings buying in bulk, and your storage abilities.
If you have buddies, you can always Horse trade away any extra powder you don't think you will use.

This is the contents of the offer. I did not note that the free Hazmat applied to the whole order so if one was wanting to stock up on smokeless or primers in the same order it would all be free hazmat.

This sort of makes me think that the presence of the $149 or more GOEX in the shopping cart at check out is what triggers the free hazmat. Note the call or email with questions in the offer. I would check with them if I had questions.

Graf's ran a similar no-hazmat fee special a couple of weeks ago--which allowed me to buy cheaper from them than the same exact product order at Powder Valley. Both are usually very close in prices, so the hazmat waiver is always the deal-maker for me.
Graf's shipping was very fast, fwiw, arriving about 4 days from placing the order.

I love shooting BP in 45 Colt. I have enough Olde Eynsford coming to keep me shooting for awhile.
