    Almost all of my firearms have QD rings. Buy high quality and you won't have any issues with them returning to zero, if installed correctly. First set were the Weaver type the OP is referring to. Not real crazy about the design, but they do work. Since then, I have used Leupold, Warne and Kimber, all QD's with the levers.

    Finn Aagaard was a fan of the classic Weaver ring. Light weight, sturdy, secure, low mounting, Made in USA. Switched many of my rifles over to them. Their low rings are about the lowest available, save, perhaps, for Conetrol.

    I got the scope mounted and got the crosshairs vertical on the second try. I have a slotted screwdriver I made for a knife pommel nut. That worked perfect for the attachment screw.
