That's great considering Hazmat fee is $30 alone. Shipping probably cost them in the $15 range. Sounds like Sportsmen's is giving the stuff away.

Subs do not work well in flintlocks. At best, you will have slow ignition.

I have had good luck using artificial as a main charge but have never got it to work in the pan.

I have not had good luck with it either. Probably cause I cannot compress it enough. Would probably work well with tight patched round ball or sabots.

Sportsmans also does free delivery with no hazmat to the store, so if you live near one you can have any hazmat item they offer shipped to the store for free.

I use a lot of Black MZ. Will be chasing elk with a 54 that has a 380 grain real over a wad and 120 grains of Black MZ. Might be a little slower muzzle velocity than FFG or Pyrodex, but shoots well to 100 yards and leaves the barrel clean enough that I can jam a patched ball or even another real down it for a follow up shot without swabbing.
