So does the Lee 230 grain give useful performance in 10" twist .30 caliber?
If it was a little fatter I'd want to try it in a .320 groove 8x57.

I will have to delay my work with the R#1 30 US until next spring.
Just finally had my rotator cuff surgery on my left /shooting shoulder
a couple weeks ago.

Dan got to love the 95's.
Thought I'd show you my 95 in 30 Army. It's a boat gun and has been lightened up a bit as you can see the extra holes, can't figure the hole in the site. Barrels been bobbed and the butt plate has had a little repair work done. But the bore is perfect. Have a mold from NOE 240 Whisper. Will be working on that one this winter.
When my shoulder was hurt, I loaded subsonic rounds.
No recoil.
Load the LEE 230 subsonic and load it both forwards and backwards just to see how it groups if any.
Try at fifty and one hundred yards.
My shoulder is healing well.
Now, though, I have to wait for better weather to start work on
the Ruger No 1 ,cal 30 USA. cast loading.
It will be a high of Zero by Wednesday
But meanwhile, I am working on bullets, etc for it
Even now have cast some NOE 247 gr bullets to try in it and
in my 300 BO

To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the trouble with many shooting experts is not that they're ignorant; its just that they know so much that isn't so.
