Range day 3 different rifles/same results

Went out to the range today and took 3 different rifles; M1917, 91/30 Mosin and Yugo M48 mauser. Put the targets out at 50 yards. Shot several loads with each, both cast and j-words. I can't explain what was going on, but it didn't seem to make any difference what rifle or load; roughly 2 inch groups with everything! Must have been me. Weather was cool and humid and the glasses kept fogging up, but that is no excuse. It wasn't a bad day. No day at the range is bad. But I just couldn't get any of them to perform as I thought they should. Oh well....tomorrow is another day.

It's not so bad, Jim. When I take the Werndl rifle out and enjoy its 67lb trigger, I'm quite pleased if I can hold 2" at 50 yds. BUT...like you said....no day at the range is a bad day. Enjoy the old stuff.....the challenge is what makes it fun.

As long as those are 10 shot groups with the original sights I'd say you are doing fine, keep shooting and having fun the groups may actually shrink!
