    Alternative for RCBS 32-98

The alternative I am looking for is a 98-100 grain round nose.
The RCBS description says SWC but sure looks like a round nose mold made into a flat point.
Anyone have or use this mold?
I looked at NOE but looks like he has just Flat Nose as well.
Will use it in a 32 semi-pistol, not revolver so really looking for a round nose

RCBS 32-90CM is a rounded flat-nose Cowboy bullet which feeds fine in the .32 Auto.

RCBS 32-98SWC is a semi-wadcutter, have not used that one in the .32 ACP

My favorite bullets for the .32 ACP are these from Accurate:

    Attachment 247068Attachment 247069Attachment 247070

These bullets all feed in my Colt M1903, Beretta M1935, Walther PP and Beretta Tomcat 3032.

If your particular pistol is "fussy" then I'd recommend the 31-087B with 1.7-2.0 grains of TiteGroup.

Thanks. It is for a 1934a MAS. Moms gun.
    I had some ammo that Quality Cartridge made from 32 S&W turned down brass into 7.65mm x20 {7.65 French Longue MAS}
    But it was stolen
    Starline now makes brass.
I have an MP 3 Cavity Brass 32 cal 73 grain Flat Point { 67 HP} That Drops at 75 or so. I was going to use for 7.62x25 Tokarev I could use but wanted something closer to 100 for the 7.65 x20
Edit this is the one i have now.

As looking at loads it looks like lead close to 100 grains is best.

I looked at that one and a few more the site is so busy hard to even figure out how to order one. Not very user-friendly

Does anyone make a 32-90cm in Hollow Point? or closer to 100 in 2 cavities or 4.

You can send the RCBS or Accurate mold off to Erik at www.hollowpointmold.com and he can do inset-bar HP conversion for you with two sets of pins for about $50 per cavity.

I have been looking for one. Was hoping NOE or Accurate had something I could just buy.
Maybe it is just me but would like a click and buy with a picture and the Accurate site is very hard for me to navigate.
I would surely buy the wrong thing. Does he make HP molds?
My best bet may be to get a 98-grain RCBS SWC and later get it HP from Eric. I assume he gives flat point pins as well? So it is 100 bucks with HP and Flat Pins? They do not look like a SWC regulaer profile like a 358156 Keith type

Don't know about overall cartridge length of 7.65 French Longue, but Accurate has a heavier 100-grain bullet I use in the 7.62x25 and in the .30 M1 Carbine:

    Attachment 247107

This would be about 87-90 grains after hollow-pointing, depending upon the cavity geometry. For low velocity, subsonic cartridges I use a core pin which is 0.7 of meplat diameter with 30 degree draft angle so that the cavity is twice as deep as its major diameter. For supersonic rounds use a 60 degree draft angle to produce a cup-point of the same depth as major cavity diameter. This provides a stress riser to initiate expansion, but avoids blowing the nose off at high velocity.

I use the 30 degree draft angle in .32 ACP and .32 S&W Long, and the 60 degree draft angle in 7.62x25, .30 Carbine, etc. An extra set of pins is inexpensive when you get everything at the same time.

I ended up getting a mint condition RCBS 98 grain one.
As I have never gotten a bad one from RCBS. and will on time send it off to Eric to get HP conversion done.
Gave 60 bucks won't be into it for much. So that leaves money to get it converted.
I already have to much in molds but I guess everyone does.
