    Shortage?

My three most favorite places to get once fired brass is all out. No .357, .38 Special, or 7.62X39. Sleeping Giant, Everglades and my local range all out. Any one think this will be a long term problem?

It will pass. The covid-19 panic buying has caused shortages. Check out the swapping and selling area. There is probably someone selling the brass you need.

I was in a local pawn shop which actually sells some reloading stuff the other day an dthey had some bags of brass in stock. Also business cards from a guy who sells it, seems he's local. I don't need any of the common brass, but I picked up his card anyway and will check now and then, his site is here; http://www.r3brass.com

not as many out shooting due to lock downs, means not as much spent brass.

Like Big Al says, the covid-19 panic buying will end, HOWEVER, we will then be heading into the election season. Hold onto your hats, and the reloading components.

The usual suspects are exhibiting all their usual behaviors. It's a combination of panic buying, hoarding, and various resellers buying everything up so they can re-sell to suckers. Whatever you do, don't go to gun shows and pay extortionist prices---that only encourages more of this. In the current environment, all the range brass sellers seem to be charging more for their mixed, used brass than the new stuff sells for. Starline Brass has all those calibers (new brass) in stock at regular (remarkably low) prices with free shipping; Midsouth has them all, too. They also sell Starline in small batches that you can't get direct from the manufacturer.

    ACC,

I can help you with 38 spl brass. I don't know how I did it but I ended up with hundreds of empties. I think they came in a bulk estate purchase that I made a few years ago.

If you pm me your address i would be glad to get them out of my shed.

No charge to you, you will be doing me a favor.

I think it depends. California just had their ammo background check upheld in a federal court. If that keeps up then components for reloading will start to disappear.

It may be a local thing. My indoor range has so much once-fired brass they are offering it at 1/2 price. 38Spl. is becoming less common, with the popularity of 9mm.
