Yup!! I never assembled a upper in 450 but thought aboutbit.

Mine is a Ruger Bolt and its a shooter!!

I bought the last group buy from NOE with a 285g Bushmaster designed bullet. Its shooting fine at almost 1800 with 5744 powder.

I also use a Lyman 457191 mold for a nice 300 g Bushmaster friendly bullet. Same velocity with 4227 from my 16” barrel.

I have a Savage action (left hand) with a Rineland barrel. The trouble i am having is being recoil shy i can't get my velocities high enough to get decent expansion.

There is a thread about the .45LC and how effective it is with cast bullets. That might serve as a reasonable starting point. A softish 300 gr bullet at 1200 fps should not recoil excessively in a rifle but still be eff3ctive at shorter ranges.
