    Rear sight slide detent repair?????

How would you repair the detents that keep the slide from moving up and down????
Seems lots of mines just free slides now.
    Mostly military rifles.

    .

The sides of the slides can also be slightly peened, to create enough friction to keep the slide from moving freely.

Ditto, the ends of the slide only

Just curiose, have you looked to see if there is any build up of debris in the detents?many years ago a friend had the same problem, and cleaning the detents fixed it.
    Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.
