    What to do????

    Hi guys,
So the other day I picked these boolits up from a yard sale. There are weights from 110 to 180 grains. Some have these copper cups but alot of them don't. I have never had any dealings with swaged boolits. I figure I could just load and shoot the ones with the copper cups, but what to do with the ones without the cups? Helpful hints? I thought about just melting them down and casting new ones. I probably have between 60&80 lbs.

If they measure out for something you can chamber them in-- shoot 'em, maybe then melt them back down.

I have measured a sampling. They are all .30 cal , and measure anywhere from .310-.315. Some are Semi wadcutter, and some are a round nose.

I never melt boolits back down to make others. I might if I had no way to get any lead. Bullets are worth more than bullet metal. If I couldn't use them I would package them in zip locks and deal them off or sell them.

I'd shoot them since they're already made up. Especially since you have a couple thousand or so.
That many of that design, with half jackets--
I'd think whoever made them was a serious target shooter, and knew exactly what they were doing.

I used to work with a bunch of young guys.
I tried to teach them, 'Don't make extra work for yourself. Plenty of other people will gladly do that for ya'.

    Winger Ed,
What about the ones without the half jackets? I'm guessing that the ones with half jackets don't need any lube. But the ones withoutwill need something. Powdercoat, or could they be tumble lubed?

I would tumble lube all of them!
