Post Got my new mold today

    44 .429 245gr Keith style bullets,
I will be pan lubing these bullets going to shoot them in a SRH.
Velocity will be between 1000 and 1300 f/s.
I have some candle wax and some past wax and some a-lox
what kind of lube can I make from this and do you think this combo of ingredients will work.
I was thinking about getting some vasolene as well.
Have you ever used the WWVA mix and what were the results.
    Thanks

About the simplest lube you can make is a 50/50 mix of candle wax (paraffin) and Vaseline. It’s surprisingly good and surprisingly versatile. It’s easy to make, just throw the ingredients in a pot and heat them until they are liquid, and it can be reheated over and over without breaking down or scorching. Unless your bullets are too skinny it will handle 1300fps just fine. Maybe add a big spoonful of the alox or the paste wax if you want—probably won’t hurt anything and might help a bit. Johnson’s Paste Wax has carnauba wax which has some desirable properties for a lube.

I don’t know what the WWVA mix is.

If you have paste wax and alox, you can mix up a version of 45-45-10, an excellent tumble/dip lube.

    Thanks for the feed back.
I mixed up a batch of pan lube
    1#pariffin
    1# Vaseline
    2 tbls Johnson/ carnauba
    2 tbls stp oil treatment
I took two tries to get the lube in the grove.
I loaded up 30 rounds to try.
Iam going to go to the range next Wednsday.
The lube was a lot softer than I expected.

When I pan lube I heat both the lube and bullet together in a toaster oven. Not hot just mebbe 200 degrees to get the bullets and lube to the same temp. Lube seems to stick in grooves better that way...
