These folks here are more than glad to help, but I've never seen one with that long of a part number.

Just kidding. Tinker around with the sight settings & such and your pictures will work out.

A file designator like "file:///C:/Users/Ron/Pictures/2019-08-11/20190810_2" is a file's location *on your computer*; You need to pass those files to some other site (imgur works) so we can see them. (I'm assuming you aren't inviting all of us to come over and borrow your computer for a while, as that seems inefficient! )

G'morning, and seeing you "just joined" and this is your first post: WELCOME!!

Re posting pictures, it is not thaaaat much of a challenge. Here's what I do, and it works 90% of the time -- I'll address that 10% later . First thing I do is select the photo, and copy it to my desktop, primarily so I easily know where it is for the next step. Once you have the photo now where I know it is, I go to the Site -- you picked a good spot -- and write whatever brilliance (I wish ) I hope to share. Then, I look at those little icons in the tool-bar which appears above the writing area for the post -- hey, I printed it here for you: Click image for larger version.

Name:	CB tool bar.jpg
Views:	27
Size:	7.9 KB
ID:	246574
and, in the far-right group. click on the FOURTH icon -- "Insert Image". Now, click "choose from file" and here is where you select the photo now on desktop you wish to post. Not done yet -- alllmost -- one last step is for you to click "Upload file(s)".
Voila -- on your post should now appear in brackets the word, "ATTACH" followed by an equal sign, and their name for your image. Now... to that 10%: In MY experience, a rare photo will not "work", and it is -- in my case -- that the SIZE of the image I'd hope to post is too big/large. My simple solution is to reduce its size -- when I copy it to the Desktop, I have left my original image intact -- so I can easily shrink image size for posting here without changing original. And, I'm certain there may be other snafu's -- perhaps an unrecognized photo format (I use *.jpg)?
Good luck... there are many answers to photo-posting questions on this site, too, should I have not been successful in guiding you.
    BEST!

I am severely lacking in computer skills. I have found the Tapatalk app to be the most simplistic method. No instructions needed, just a click on an icon, your pic, and 2 more self explanatory clicks and that’s it.
The whole process takes 10-15 seconds at most.

If I can figure it out, any putertard can.

I must be a few steps below a putertard as I barely know what an app is or where or how to access one. I do find rebuilding an engine, transmission, carburetor or alternator to be simple but puters don't have many parts that I recognize.

My screen doesn't have that thing to click on. Can you add an app to a chrome book?

Being a putertard, I wouldn’t know. Maybe if you go over the “our town” section they can help you out.

Another option would be to use your phone and download the app from whatever library/store your phone uses.

Even if you don’t like surfing the net on your phone, just use it for posting pics through the Tapatalk app.

My flip phone doesn't do that kind of stuff, thanks for trying. I'll talk with my computer programmer son and see if there is a way for me to post pictures with my chrome book. If not, I can use the wifes real puter.

OP - you have to upload the photos to an image hosting site first in order for it to display on a forum. I recommend Imgur.com - free and no hassle.

This is the OP's only post on Castboolits, he has not been back, even to answer the PM I sent him.
