not sure what I done ,after reassembling the 357 max from the blueing I did the traditional test firing and she flicks out the 357 max empties like a hot dam !
only thing I will guess was I like the breech block polished and shiny so when polishing it up may have removed just enough or slicked up the block that she works

yes they are fun projects to build up ,here is a pic from the first day of deciding to start projectile parts are on top of the stock board ,its nice to be able to go from start to finish in my little shop except for the blueing which was farmed out

You guys inspired me to get my Kangaroo rifle out of the safe and shoot it some. At some point the big redfield was replaced by a smaller scope but off hand I’m ringing my 4 inch swinger at 65 steps off the deck with no problems. It likes lead boolits.

You Fellers having martinis and I don't have a martini so I wished I had a martini even though I don't drink. I think I've seen maybe five of those Cadet rifles in my entire life. They must have slipped by me somehow...

Do yourself a favor don't buy one, they are an expensive addiction. I have 5, 22LR, 7MM Waters, 303 Brit, 357Mag, and 577-450. I use to have more but had to thin the herd to make room in the safe. No room in the reloading room for a bigger safe.

I picked up an international BSA lefthander in 22rf last year .out Shoots all my other rifles at 100 yards with american eagle ammo ,but I wouldn't want to carry it too far as it weighs a ton with a scope.

That is the exact rifle I am looking for ! I am a lefty and they are very hard to find without paying a lot more than I see right handed internationals going for.

Martinis are kinda addictive ,up here in Canada they are not really scarce but finding bubbas for projects is a bit tough at reasonable prices.
The nicer / cleaner ones do pop up more often .

Your wood in the two pics on the right looks more like it is a quilt maple made from big leaf maple here in the Pac. NW. Some call it "music wood' because it is favored for cellos and base violins. When it is finished properly, not an easy task, the irredescant beauty is even more extraordinary when you see it up close. Only certain big leaf maples in windy areas will have that much figure. Congratulations on your gorgeous rifle!

I had a Martini in 357 Max and sold it- I've regretted that for years!

Here’s my other martini, it’s not as sexy as the op’s rifle as it’s still in uniform but it uses untrimmed .32-20 brass. Just a little bit shorter than a 357 max. It’s a sweetheart too.
