    1878 Pedersoli Sharps

Anybody here have any experience with them. I know that they were made for Lyman, just wondering if they are the same quality as the 74s as far as shooting.

    Bob,
Here is Jerry's review with one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nstqP33Kz_4 He is a fine off hand shooter for sure.
But at $2400 I would look at the Shiloh https://shilohrifle.com/rifles/1877-sharps-rifles/ they have a no BS lifetime warranty

I found several for less than $1700 while looking for something else for a friend, that's why I asked. When I got my Shiloh 2 years ago through Bill Goodman I asked about the 77 but he said that he had several on order and wasn't sure when he was going to get them. I thought about selling my friend the Sharps Hunter and getting one to replace it.

I know where one is maybe still for sale. It's a plain Jane wood .40-65 he won as a door prize and hardly shot.
I thought about getting it but I found a 77 Axtell and got it.

Isn't the Lyman smaller scale than the others? Certainly smaller calibers (if were talking about the same thing).

No it's full sized with a 30" barrel but from what I remember about it when I looked at it, it's on the light side I would guess less than 10# but all in all it looked like a nice rifle. The wood to metal fit is not as nice as the customs (Shiloh's, C-Sharps or Axtell's)
