    Looking for CB loads using Unique in 357 Sig and 40 S&W

    Hello! Sadly, my cast bullet loading manuals pre-date the creation of the 357 Sig and 40 S&W cartridges. I am looking to use Unique with the following bullet/cartridge combinations:

    9 mm - Lyman 356402 124gr truncated cone
    9 mm - Lyman 124gr "Devastator" hollow point
    40 S&W - Lee 175gr truncated cone (not the tumble lube version)

    These bullets will either be sized and lubed or PC'd and sized. Any start/maximum load recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also, any loads using an alternate powder such as: Bullseye or 231.

    Thanks in advance!

    Well, I can give the info from the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook #4.

    40S&W;
    Lyman #401098-RNFP & #401638-TC which both weigh 175grs cast of #2 Alloy.

    Lists:
    Unique - 4.7grs to 5.8grs
    Bullseye - 4.0grs to 5.0grs
    WW231 - 4.3grs to 5.8grs

    .357Sig;

    No Listing.

    Thank you very much!

    I was not aware that a 4th edition had come out.

    Good morning
    In my Sig Sauer two of the three most accurate loads that I have found use two of your listed powders.
    All loads use the Lyman 401638 175gr. boolit seated to 1.125"
    1. 4gr. bullseye
    2. 5.2gr. unique
    Hope this helps
