    Thumbs up My First NOE.

I knew NOE makes good molds but I'm still amazed:

You can't find any seams in the bullets, not with glasses on. None. Impossible to tell which way the bullets have been in the cavities. These drop 305 grains for me, weight variation is within 1,5 grains, coated! Mic them, they are very, very uniform size and they are round. Miced a dozen, all are within half a thou anywhere you measure.

And all this is from my first casting session,I started getting perfect bullets in ten minutes. I washed the mold with brakekleen, then dish soap and hot water. Then gave it three proper heat cycles using a hot plate. Smoked the pin tips very little with a Bic lighter. Lubed it sparingly when hot.

The mold is raining bullets when I turn it upside down, hardly need to shake it.

Don't know what took me so long with NOE,I have wasted a lot of time with mediocre molds during the years.

EDIT: looks like I forgot the pic.

NOE is one of my favorites. Probably because they about the only major bullet mold manufacturer i can afford. Every so often Lee didnt have a bullet that filled my need. NOE pulled through. I have 2 of their molds. I have my eye on 5 more of their molds. Al really filled a void I hope he stays in buisness for a good long time. It takes me a while of saving my lunch money to buy a new mold lol.

I love my NOE molds and treat them with the respect they deserve. They should last several lifetimes.

I'm sure MP molds are nice but I'd rather buy American and not pay extra for overseas shipping ----- Just my 2¢

Anytime I am looking for a new mold, I check the NOE website first. I really like his molds, but I also like my noe mold guide and my noe expanders. First class stuff!
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

I'm here to tell, that NOE mold guide changed the way I look at my Lee bottom-dripper. I can adjust so the moulds slide correctly, and don't need to cobble shims together for the height.

The expanders are wonderful. Every time I get a new caliber or cartridge, I just go ahead and order expanders.

I've had 2 aluminum NOE molds. A 5 cavity and a 2 cav. Both excellent. Sold both for the simple reason that the diameters were a little large foe my needs. Would highly recommend them.

Also REALLY appreciate their other innovative ideas like bushing bullet sizer and M expander plugs.

    Good folks too!

Oh yes the NOE expanders are great.

My only complaint is about communication. I emailed NOE with a question about .499/500 expanders availability. No reply. I then messaged them with my order (mold, checks) about expanders, still no reply. I received two .510 expanders that I have no use for.

My message question came back to me,not answered but printed in packing list.

Congrats on both your adroitness re bullets cast as well as "finding" Night Owl Enterprises! One item -- imho, the most important -- you did not mention is the "customer support" provided. Not to "dis" others who also are a few shades better than great (e.g., Tom at Accurate) -- Mr. Nelson time and time again epitomizes anything and everything the BEST provider may -- on their best day -- wish to be! In addition to superb-plus moulds, Mr. Nelson provides customer support which is hard to exceed!
(No wonder why I got to be a member of his "$1,000.00 club" in record time !) This is something worth pursuing for you, too -- after reaching this level of purchases, he rewards all club members with substantial discounts on all purchases!

I agree , I really like his moulds but I have had no luck with trying to email him, I’ve found the best way to communicate is just call him , I usually call him early before he gets to busy .

I just received my first aluminum NOE mould last week as well. No handles yet and no time right now so the mould is sitting on the table calling my name every time I walk by. I then pick it up when I am sitting down for a few minutes and admire the craftsmanship. Now to find some handles and squeeze in a pouring session.

So, someone tell me how much nicer are the brass moulds? Or do I want to know?

Lee handles fit the NOE quite nicely. I have a list.of more NOE molds to buy. Waiting on the wife to give it the stamp of approval.
