    Interesting shot maker

    I ran across this video and thought some of you might like to see it. This machine produces lead shot, based on the principle of breaking of lead stream by a magnetic field in an inert gas environment.

    I emailed the company and asked a few questions about the equipment ans the process. To my surprise I received a rather lengthy very informative response, I thought this was rather impressive.

    Just thought I'd share.
    BTW this setup is only 60K (US) - installed with training and a 1 year warranty.

    Quite impressive!

    Notice the card on the machine: It can make 350 lb of BB size shot in one hour! It must be a full time job just keeping the lead reservoir filled and shoveling shot!

    Any idea what the angle of the glass steps is?

    From the research I've done, the glass panels appear to be on a 1 degree angle.

    Estimates on the drop distance before hitting the water spray? Shot dripper could be used this way.
