    Winchester 70 Pre 64 243?

I am not a Winchester pre 64 70 official but have wondered lately if Winchester made the 243 in a standard 24" barrel and not just a 22" featherweight?
While looking for a standard 243 barrel with the barrel swell for the rear sight I only see featherweights for sale and wondered if they made then in standard grade?

    .

Winchester made several versions of the pre-64 Model 70's in .243 from 1955-1963.

    They were:

    * The Model 70 Standard Grade with 24" bbl

    * The Model 70 Target Grade .243's with a medium weight bbl

    * The Model 70 Varmint Grade with a 26" heavy bbl.

Thanks Pietro, I wondered as I only find feather weights and some varmints but needed a standard 24" to fit the stock.
I thought they made them and possibly many more of the standards than the featherweights or Varmints?

    Years back, I had a Pre64 M70 Std wt 243.
It was a great rifle, a tack driver with my 100 gr Nosler partition deer load.
And also it shot well with some lighter bullets I had picked up. Found it too
    tiring for shootng prairie dogs.
But, being left handed, I finally sold it.
