Monty Python was a delight to watch. I think we got it on Sunday night with a antenna. Three stations + PBS. That was back when there was actually good viewing content and it didn't cost $150/month.
Thanks for the memory jog Ham.

I usually take em out with my Bug A Salt. Almost always takes a couple of shots to put em on the ground where they can be dealt the death blow, usually the Left foot.

Back when I was at helicopter school, Ft Walters, Texas, I used a Benjamin 177 pump to shoot Tarantula Spiders in front of my quarters. My best day was four of those badgirls in three hours and three Black Jacks and Water. Range was about seven yards. Those experiences did not prepare me for VN but it was fun nonetheless.
Still have that Benjamin but it no longer holds air.

My Bug a Salt is mainly a "Spider Gun for dispatching them when trapped in the bath tub.. We got lots of them outside and when they come inside they get the shotgun. I use Kosher Salt which is essentially like shooting shards of glass. Coarser the better.

I had a Black Widow come after me a few months ago, but was able to side step it during the charge. It got the boot as it ran by.

Always looking for targets of opportunity.

All this talk about big game hunting got me really interested, and I got the HW35 out yesterday and took a shot at a Grasshopper that was stuck to a wall in my driveway. It was about a 15 yard shot and I missed just enough to send him flying away.

But I got the gun out of the safe and it is ready when a target presents itself, which where I live is frequently.

I think more people need to get involved with this rewarding pursuit. It helps the environment and keeps you shooting more often.
