1851 Swiss Federal Rifle coverted breechloader

At last I got it. Yesterday I bought this sample which was converted by G. Manzoni in Lugano to Milbank Amsler system and chambered for the Vetterli round 10,4x38R rimfire. I use to shoot my oldies but this one will wait until I'll realize the better way to make rimfire cases. My idea is a solid brass head accepting a blank .22 cap and a cut lebel brass tin soldered on. I dont like complete solid cases made out a brass bar stock cause the thick mouth demands for heeled bullets. I thought also to convert the rifle centerfire, but the chance of ruining everything is too strong.

The is a great looking rifle. As far as I understand Fiocchi of Italy still make 10.4x38r Ammunition . . They are not able to import to The USA. Your Close and worth a inquiry
I would see if you can get the ammunition from somewhere local

Yes you can find easily PPU 8x50r lebel, the best choice for the venerable .41 swiss.
