    Swiss K31 scope mount

I have a Swiss K31 and would like to install a scout scope mount (where the rear sight normally resides). Anybody have any suggestions as to brand and what power scope to use (I have two Burris long eye relief scopes in 2 and 4 power). I plan to mainly poke holes in paper and may go deer hunting. Thanks in advance......

gunauthor I've got the S&K scout mount on my K31, so far it has held a zero and no problems to speak of. If I was to do it again I would buy the BadAce mount, I have two of their mounts, on M96 Swede and on 98 KKale turk, rock solid, just plain looks stronger than the S&k mount.

I'd want the 4x scope for paper punching, even more couldn't hurt

swheeler - I watched the video from the badace tactical ad you linked. That's a slick solution ! I like it.

    I have a 2.5x Scout on a Yugo M48. Fine for 50-75 yards, but not enough for 100+ yards. I wouldn't go less than 4x. hc18flyer

I wish all my milsurp mounts were BadAce, they are solid and built to last!

I bought this one for mine. A long eye relief sight is not necessary, I put a normal one on it.
    Be very satisfied.

The Swissproducts one is a good one. I installed a stop screw for the forward tip-off ring but it probably wasn’t necessary. I don’t like scout scope setups but that’s just me. I realize that a lot of people (like a brother and nephew)- do.

    Goodmorning everyone,
I bought, as I wrote in the past S&K MOUNTS for K 31:
    http://www.scopemounts.com/index.html?main.html
They mount in place of the rear sight, and they don't need to modify the weapon.
they have the advantage of being adjustable both in elevation and laterally.

    I mounted a Burris 3-12 x 32 Scope hand gun

Eject up, but I have a single shot hammerli version, so that's no problem

So it's an offset mount, scope is right of TDC of the receiver. It probably says so in the specs but I didn't see it nor could I tell from photos.

SWHEELER, I believe they are the same! I was wrong in writing and I corrected the post. They are from S&K MOUNT!

Swiss products is the way to go, i have one its extremely solid and does not modify the weapon. Hornady ELD bullets worked the best in my rifle.

Our "drive by poster" specified a scout type mount, wonder if he purchased one yet, maybe he'll post a couple pics.
