    Lee Loader in 7x57 Mauser?

    Did Lee ever offer a whack-a-mole loader in 7x57 Mauser?

    You might try here;

    http://leeloaderdata.com/index.htm

    I've never bought from him, but somebody on this forum gave me his listing when I was looking for something. He seems to have one in stock for $75 + shipping and handling. From the way I read his website, this caliber used to be a regular item, but has been discontinued by Lee, a situation common for a lot of calibers.

    Shop gun shops with old stock on the shelves. You might find an affordable one. You might even consider getting a 310 tool.

    Keep an eye on flea-bay. Those kits are getting fairly expensive, but if you're patient you'll find one in 7x57.

    I just found one on this forum recently, so they are out there to be found. If you can find a cheap 7 mm Mag Lee Loader, it can be easily converted to load 7x57, but you will have to find a 2.8 cc dipper and copy the charge table info. The tools are identical except for the lower die body, and the decapping chamber, which is a bit bigger to hold the larger belted mag case. The lower body just needs to be shortened by .340 in., and the inside dia reduced from .520 to around .475 with some kind of thin tubing,beer can aluminum, or even rolled up paper, just so the smaller dia. 7x57 fits nicely.
