Help Finding Article

I read an article or book a couple years ago and it was taking about the change from black powder to smokeless and from cast and swaged lead to jacketed bullets and how both changes played into each other. I remember there being something along the lines of how jacketed bullets were inferior for hunting and velocities were increased to overcome the lack of performance on game.
It was something along those lines. It was a good read and damned if I can remember where I read it. It might have been a paper patching article or an article on “express” ammunition.
Maybe it was in a black powder cartridge magazine.
Well if anyone knows what I’m taking about I would love to figured it out

That sounds like something that might have appeared in an issue of the Blackpowder Cartridge News. They used to publish a list of major articles by issue. I no longer have them, but somebody here might look in their archives.

Don't you hate that? Knowing that the mind's "itch" needs to be scratched and there isn't anything you can do about it. It is just there out of reach.

Try thinking about it just before you go to sleep and see if your subconscious mind can remember for your conscious mind. You will wake up with the answer on the tip of your tongue.

OR, if you remember any direct passage from that article or book, GOOGLE/Bing it. Often the direct passage will come up in an on-line search (though not every book or article is reproduced on line). Folks may have already discussed it on another forum.

A good computer search can help make up for a fading memory.

If you can remember about what the title or subject might have been , do a Goggle search .
If noting turns up re word it and search again .
I'm going to search "The Transition From Blackpowder to Smokeless " and see what that brings up .
Many articles , 15 on the first 3 pages , popped up on the subject...try a search and see if the article is in there ...if not search another term .
