    WTT Need 38 LC Brass

Looking for 50 to 100 cases of 38 Long Colt brass, to support a gun my recently passed neighbor passed along to me. He gave me a Spanish copy of a colt Detective , would like to shoot it a little in his memory. I know , I could trim down 38 spl. Just would like to pass it along after me to next of kin, with correct brass to reload.
I have a lot of brass stock piled, pm me with possible trades.

Have you measured the chamber length?

Are you SURE that the revolver is chambered for .38 Long Colt and not .38 Colt New Police?

If you need .38 Colt New Police (same as .38 S&W, .787" case), I can help you out.

I'd check as Outpost said to make sure. Track of the Wolf carries 38 LC in smaller quantities - IIRC you can get it from them by the piece or by the 100 - Starline. Or you can get 38 Colt short from them as well that would work in anything that chambers a 38 lc, special or 357.

Sorry OutPost75 for not responding sooner. I believe after talking with my local gun shop, an checking what works in this revolver I do believe it’s 38 LC. Looking back into my old reload books, seems to confirm my thoughts. It’s an odd duck! Ordered 38 LC brass from Midway see how it works! Brass an dies should be in tomorrow.

If you look in the chambers of the cylinder you will probably notice that there are no throats. You can probably just use 38 Special brass and hollow base wadcutters with very mild loads to make it go bang.
The Spanish Smith & Wesson copy I had many many years ago would even chamber 357 Magnum!! Luckily we were smart enough not to shoot it with those or regular 38 specials.
