I've got two in 5.56 and one in .450 Bushmaster. 9 rounds of bear defense goodness in a package 3 lbs lighter than my Marlin 1894 in .45 Colt. Works great as a camping/hiking carbine.

Rudy Koester at Macon Armory would probably make you a DI 10mm or 10mm Magnum. He makes DI .45s, and 10 would be easier because the bolt is an off the shelf part.

Didn't see the 375 stalker, 375 SOCOM, 7.62X40 or the 300HAM"R mentioned yet.
Not sure if the PPCs were mentioned either.
    Too many to list!

AR-10s are available in 300 WSM now too. About time IMO.

if were dreaming how about cheap rifles chambered in 30 arx. 762x39 or even a bit better ballistics and will work in standard ar15 mags instead of those curved ones. All the power with much less feeding issues. If comparing 16 inch guns it compares favorably to a 308 or at least a 300 savage. brass could be made from 6.5 Grendel or 762x39

How about the 30 American? Uses 6.8 mags and bolt, loads with 30 Herrett dies in 6.8 brass, trimmed to 42mm. More oompfh than blackout or 7.62x39, using easily available components.

What do the mags look like? And how do you like it?

The Only AR-15 that can be chambered in .22-250 Rem.
The following features are used in addtion to standard
features on the UMAR lower receiver:
    1. Modified UMAR AR-15 lower receiver magazine well. Designed specifically for the UMAR magazines to accept the venerable .22-250 caliber and long WSSM loads.
    2. Threaded bolt catch hole: designed for a quick and easy change of your bolt catch between standard 5.56 magazine and the UMAR magazines, (Which use different bolt catches). Swap back and forth in seconds!
    3. All modified UMAR lower receivers can also readily accept every standard AR-15 upper and caliber option. The UMAR lower is applicable to all AR-15 calibers from .22 LR and 5.56 NATO, to the WSSM and .22-250 calibers. Just swap the upper, the magazine and the bolt catch (if needed).
    4. UMAR magazines come in two vatieties: .22-250 or WSSM/OSSM

Llyod, you might want to check out the 6.5 Grendel forum for group buys. And make sure you get the correct bolt.

Edit to add: and mags that will be dependable.

bear creek sells a complete upper bolt group included for 210 bucks. Guaranteed to shoot moa. I did here they had some labor problems and just had 30 people either quit or get fired. bottom line is I don't worry to much about quality. There just like psa and don't build uppers themselves anyway. They buy them and resell them. Probably come from the exact same place. Does anyone know what that labor crisis was all about. Im all for the worker but that said it doesn't take a master gunsmith to build a ar15. A high school kid can do it as well as anyone else. Heck even I can do it.

I think there is a .500 auto, which would be a 500 S&W without the rim. I think Starline makes brass.

I’ve got 4 5.56 rifles in different styles, one is a colt SP01 one for 3 gun and then 2 carbine for the boys when they get older, I have a 450 bushmaster, a 300 blk pistol in 8.5” barrel, a 16” 204 Ruger, and a caliber I came out with called the 7.62x38 ultra it’s a AI x39 that I worked up to hold 7 more grn of powder
