    Todays score

A friend who rebuilds and salvages old pipe organs called to day and asked if I was interested in some lead.
Went over and checked it out. This is what I came home with. the long ones have 4 or 5 tubes stuck in them.

    I think 200 to 250 lbs
Up until today I didn't know that some of the pipes in an organ are pure lead, that's what I picked up today. He told me that some are about 50/50 lead and tin. He didn't have any of that to get rid of. He did show me some, he called them spotted it looked like they didn't mix the lead and tin completely.

I watched a show on making the pipe organ pipes. They mixed the lead tin such that the ratio would not completely mix and this would give better resonance in the tube. This also showed a mottled appearance.
    Nice score on the lead.
