    Sears, JC Higgins, Model 33

    Pump action .22 rimfire made exclusively for Sears by High Standard 1954-1962.

    Does anyone have any experience with them? I have one and the safety is not right, it moves ever so slightly from fire to safe when the trigger is pulled. The slide must be racked open, safety fully applied, slide racked closed, safety released to fire, every time and in no other sequence.

    I thought I would ask here before taking it all apart and trying to figure out what is worn out. Actually the rifle shows very little use, the receiver right side wears from the slide rubbing and this one has barely a mark.
