    You probably can tell that I have already been drooling over that doglock... BUT... budgets don't currently allow for such extravagances. Anyway, good luck selling. You Mainers always have cool stuff. If only I had a teleportation device, I would be headed over to shoot, snowshoe, camp, and cause trouble with you all!!!

    I had one back in the 60's, shot my first deer with, it had a 4 power junior weaver scope on it. I think the scope was actually made for a 22 rifle but it worked. Someone told me that the 308 pressures were too much for it. I didn't have it very long so I never found out if it was good or bad. I was shooting factory loads in it. I wish I had it now for a cast boolit shooter.

    I have found that the 1916 and other related small ring Mausers can stand limited pressures of the .308 cartridge.
    But Most, will get Set Back in the recoil lugs over time.
    But as Cast Boolit Shooters, there is no problem.
