    Dating a new (to me) S&W revolver

    I don't have a copy of the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" by Jim Supica, Richard Nahas - Is someone who has a copy, willing to look up the ship date on this new "fun toy" of mine? Mainly just curious, it's an older M64, got it as a plinker (ex-LEO gun.) Should at least scare the heck out of dirt clods and rocks near me, soon as I get out to shoot it

    The Model 64 came out in 1970, and was changed to Model 64-1 in 1972. The Models 64-2 and -3 both came out in 1977. The Models 64-4 and -5 both came out in 1988. Does this help?
