great whole chicken in the air fryer.

took a whole chicken brined overnight with kosure salt and crushed garlic
rub rinse well and pat dry.

    2 Tablespoons cooking oil
    1 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
    1 teaspoon of season salt
    1 teaspoon black pepper
    1 teaspoon Garlic powder
    1 teaspoon crushed garlic
    1 teaspoon Paprika
    1/2 teaspoon Dried basil
    1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
    1/2 teaspoon Dried thyme

put a half a sliced onion in the chest cavity
mix all those ingredients with the oil to make a paste and rub it all over the chicken and use it all. I was skeptical that it would be overpowering but it was delicious.
put chicken in air fryer breast side down and cook for 30 minutes on the chicken setting. Carefully turn it over and cook another 30 minutes. To me its better then the store bought broasted chickens and I love them. Even the breast meat was moist and tender. Partially due to brining but supposedly the onion helps too.

Lloyd, what brand of air fryer do you have? What else do you cook in it? Thx

    DARN YOU

G-son gave ma an air frier I was going to try baking PC in.

This looks both good and healthy. I've gotta give it a go first.

power air fryer xl. Wife bought it on line. Its about the best thing going for frozen fries. MUCH better then in the oven. Not quite as good as home made but good enough that you wont want to do home made and clean the mess up after trying them. Ive also done pork chops and pieces of chicken. they turn out great too. Poppers and mozzeralla sticks and other junk food work great too. but I think this is my favorite now. Do you need one? Probably not. But after having one I wouldn't go without one. One thing I did have problems with is when it was new it had some kind of oil or something on the machine and the first batches of food were terrible. tasted like burnt oil. I found people with similar problems on line and from what I gather its some kind of coating they put on the thing so rust and germs don't form. What it took was putting about a inch of water mixed with baking soda and alternating water and vinegar about 3 times each with it on high for about 10 minutes. No odor at all anymore.
