The Magma Master Pot A Video As It Comes New From Magma

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8LibF_87B4

Summer 2019 it was 600.00 and 52 dollars for my UPS shipping, Its a hoss of a melter, can cast 1000 128 gr 9mm from a Lee 6 cavity mould and still have about 9 pounds of alloy in it , including the 166 sprues that weight 500 some grains without putting them back into the pot

    1000 128gr Lee 356-125 9mm bullets = 128000 grains lead alloy

6 cavity Lee mould sprues from 1000 bullets is 1000 divided by 6 = 166 at 510 grains each = 84999 grains lead alloy

Total lead alloy used for 1000 9 mm bullets = 212999 divided by 7000 grains per pound of alloy = 30.42 pounds of alloy

The Master Pots Capacity is 40 pounds of alloy or 280000 grains of alloy so you would still have about 9 pounds left in the pot at the 1000th cast 9mm bullet without adding back any sprues

Because of the large capacity if you added the sprues back into the pot one by one it hardly will change the temperature until you get very low on alloy and you would have used the 128000 grains of alloy plus drips and overflows on the mould or about 1/2 of the full pot of 40 pounds of bullet alloy or about 20 pounds of lead alloy , four- five pound bars

Today I made a new mould rest for the Master Pot with 3/8 bar stock and a 5/8th hole for drips. It works much better with my Lee and Lyman 6 and 4 cavity moulds and I also put wing nuts on the shelve bolts for EZ adjustment

Nice job, from un-boxing to casting

I love mine but it came as a Master Caster but I unbolt it and use the manual Magma frame occasionally with my 6 cavity Ballisticast and 8 - 10 cavity Hensley and Gibbs molds. They pile up fast.
